Disconnect the battery cables for 3minutes only if you have a key fob remote to shut off the alarm if you have one otherwise you be stuck in theft mode and a no start condition will be active are you trying to clear codes if so go to Auto zone first get the codes read and then ask them to clear it but if your doing it for inspection it won't work because system monitors need to be set and they will not if there's a problem and your check engine light will come on again or you'll fail the inspection from a monitor that's not cleared yet even if the check engine light is off
