What to do when there is no electricity on the wiring for the range hood
I am trying to install a Broan Allure III, which I need to connect the house wiring to range hood. After I have done so, when I tried to turn on the fan, nothing happened. I used the voltage testing on the black and white of the house wiring and did not detect any electricity. What should I do now?
Thanks in advance....

Check the breaker first, is it tripped? Most likely have wires crossed.
If breaker is on and not tripped and there is still no power check to make sure any splices you made are tight and copper is contacting the inside of the wire nut.(i.e. did you strip enough insulation back?).
The next thing i would do if were trouble shooting would be to check the wiring from you hood fan to the panelboard. Are there any junction boxes that were disturbed and maybe a joint came loose? Did you accidently cut or nick a cable in the wall?
Let me know if any of these fix it and write back.
NOTE: BE VERY CAREFUL when tracing cables and checking joints sometimes wire nuts can pop off just by touching them, exposing live voltage. Cables can have nicks that are unseen so don't run your hand along supicious cables.
Check the fuse in the fuse panel i would have to presume it was removed while you did the install..
