Check at the dealer parts counter to find out if the original ground or positive cable had a built in capacitor to suppress the noise. Most have this on the firewall and you could go with factory cable if it was built-in or perhaps find the noise suppressor to add on at stereo shop . I recall some odd battery cables over the years but never had to replace them leading to this issue.
