OK.....this is strange. I have the same problem with constant false alarms switching between POP and KA for five to ten minutes constantly. I tried the Q tip recommendations from this site and no luck. Here's the weird part, when pluged into my 2006 Lexus GS the problem continued. When I plug it into my new used car a 2006 Mercedes CLK it works perfect! So, my conclusion is it must be a combination between the dector and the Lexus that causes the problem. I'm confused because it took over a year and a half for the problem to start in the Lexus. I plan on calling Escort tech dept. to see what the heck would cause this.I'll post the results from the call afterwards.
