1.) are the shredded paper tapes exist with a clean even cut or is the paper starting to tear at the edges or have fuzzy edges? 2.) is there an adjustable tension bar in the roller's compression springs?
On 1. your blades may be dull and need to be replaced. I'd get a newer better model for the cost of these things.
On 2. You'll probably need an allen wrench to lessen the tension in the springs holding the rollers in place. There may even simply be loose fasteners holding the tension assembly to the top frame causing more tension on one side than another.
And lastly, you may just need to give your rollers a thorough cleaning with first a vacuum cleaner, then wiped down with a natural bristle paint brush that sells for 79 cents that you dip in water and then wipe down the areas around the rollers. Have the plug removed from power before doing this. Once you finish with the brush and water finish it off with a lint free dish cloth and clean water by wiping the rollers down thoroughly. And, last to this, the bushing for the roller ends may need a tad of lubricant and thus allow both sides to travel more easily with one end not having more resistance than another.
Hi delglass, The best thing is would be to use no more than 4 pages at a time and never shred paper with staples. Everytime a staple is cut it puts a bend in the blades, and the bends cause jams. The only fix is to use less paper and no metal, and keep the basket empty. New rollers are available for most shredders but they almost cost more than a whole new shredder. I hope this will help, and please dont forget to rate me. Have a nice day. Mike

Two specific things:
