When cold has no accerlation
This vehicle runs well when warm. i hooked up a timing light when it was cold and started it. The timing was retarded for about 10 seconds then it smoothed out and ran well, and the timing advanced. Have you ever run across this problem. It is a 1994 geo metro 3 cylinder, 1.0 lit. . I know it does not hve power but I know when it is not running right.

I've actually had the same problem and it was my air intake. When it was cold all the moisture in the air would freeze in my air intake and basically make it impossible for my metro to breath.
All I did was remove the air filter to expose the intake. Then, asked a friend to get behind the wheel and rev the engine. All the while, I sprayed WD-40 inside the intake. The WD-40 would break up existing ice buildup and prevent any more from forming.
