When dialing the mobile number on our samsung genio slide gt b5310 we get a message telling us this has been diverted to the o2 messaging service. the mobile does not ring. how can i get the phone to ring? please

If it has diverted straight to the answerphone this means that either there are calls being blocked (check settings > phone settings > call barring (reject list etc.)) or that there is a problem with the network/sim card. Only your network will be able to tell you the exact issue but it also may be blacklisted if you have only just got it. Also bars on sim being used etc.
