When i play a game such as Battlefield Bad Company 2 on the Xbox 360. The sound works, like you can hear the water flowing, aircraft etc etc, all that is is fine. But when it comes to audio of different characters, its really dim and you can't hear the voices of the characters at all. The same thing happens for me playing Fifa 10. The crowd is fine, the music in the menus, everything is fine but the audio of the commentary voices is really dim, like u can JUST hear it, but it sounds like its masked really bad
Most of the sounds you are hearing good are background sounds. If you are running a surround system, you might want to try adjusting the output of your primary speakers, checking for the correct setting on your receiver, and verifying that your central audio is in the correct section ( receiver output ).
If you are not using surround sound, Check the in-game menu (Pause) for an audio section, some games allow you to turn the character voices up and the music down. If you don't have that option, try using a new output cord from your xbox to Tv.
