most of the time, its just the usb ports themselves that short, inside the port on the laptop there are 4 golden or silver pins if those are touching each other or toching the sealing they cause shortage, same if one is missing or more. all usbs are linked together is if 1 goes down they all do. if you cant find the culprit port.
