I have the back cover off as well as the front and no matter if i put the video feed in any of the ports it has nothing seems to appear on the screen. no sound, just a illuminated black screen.puzzled and i'm thinking i found my challenge

Di you replace the lamp balstor and whach the green led in frint of set it will blink and count the blink it could be a number of thing 1 fan not spinnig fast, lamp balstor bad lamp have you replace the lamp ?
checked thermals and it checks out good but it puzzles me.Seven blinks - High voltage shutdown. The high voltage has exceeded 33k and the unit goes immediately into safety shutdown. Check power supply regulation and horizontal circuits. that would be on the g1 board?
Finally found my problem. on the g1 board there is a fuse...well a few of them, but the ones you should try checking first is in the board as PS 1601 and PS 1602. My PS1602 is blown. resodered one back in there and BAM. good to go
