When I record and listen to playback, I only hear the left side
When I record and listen to the playback, I only hear the left side of my headphones. However, I can hear the beat on both sides of the headphones. I use Sonar Home Studio 7. On Sonar when I click on Input/output it is pre-selected to Stereo. When I click on Right only don't hear anything. When I click on Left only I can hear both sides. Can someone help as to why it's doing this?

This is normal for recording. Even professionals do the same. What you need is to set your input to mono(either hardware or software), or explore your software look for effects like STEREO to MONO with some delay which I prefer for my recording. I did have a good result. Good Luck
