When I rotate the shower handle up to the point where hot water starts to mix in I get a 'moaning' type sound and a very low vibration. The last time I replaced the valve the vibration was very high. Danze is sending me some springs, but I'm not sure where they will go. They also suggested turning the inlet water pressure down by adjusting the screws. Any other ideas?
The seal for the hot water is loose, allowing it to vibrate and give you that noise. The springs will go into the valve body, replacing the old springs and giving the seal more strength to resist vibrating from the water flow. I bet they give you directions, if not a good plumbing supply store may be able to walk you through it. Sorry to say I'm not familiar with your brand, but the generic problem is quite common.
