When i slide open my phone or even push a button a black screen appears with the verizon wireless logo on it as if i turned off. Sometimes it does turn off

You have to turn your phone off.. Wait a few minutes, then drop it on the ground. I know it sounds stupid but it works. I have no idea why, but it beats having to get a new one.?
