When I try to record video on my Rollei es1020g (either through its own camera or line in) it goes straight to stop mode and the screen goes blank. This occurs whatever the min record time is set to (up to 150 mins) I have tried a reset and power on-off Can I upgrade its software online perhaps? Thanks Nick Morris [email protected]

Sorry, no, the firmware of this unit can't be updated or reloaded. As for your problem you should check if you have enough space left on the hard disk or that the battery is in good condition. If both are ok then the defect is in the firmware - the up to 150 min is disabled (or corrupted) on your unit.
When you bought it , it should have come with a soft disk. In there you will find the management program - launch it and check the settings. If you don't have the program you can check the basic setting from the menu of the unit - make sure that you have the 320x240 resolution selected for maximum compatibility.
If neither of theses work then this setting is not usable - just ignore it, nothing else you can do.When you bought it , it should have come with a soft disk.
