When i turn off the computer that the printer is connected to the printing queue is still there when the computer is turned back on and it starts to print out everything that was received the day before. what could the issue be and why is this doing it, i have a dell 5110cn printer

Check out this link and go down to where it says "Dell - Firmware" and then go over to the right and click the blue Download link. Run through that (I don't know what it looks like, sorry) and see if it will update your printer firmware. It looks like that is a fix for some job getting stuck in the queue, which sounds similar to the problem you're currently experiencing.
