When I start my car I let it run for about a minute or two, until I hear it idling down. When I put my car in drive and go it starts ramping up again and loud and then go away. My service light has been on for 8 months. At first when I turn my gas cap a certain way, it went off. I took it to the GMC dealer and they could not find anything wrong with the service light staying on. What's up with this, I have read my manual, back to back. Regina

If the service light is on there is a problem. Take it to Auto Zone and have them read the code, they will do this for free hoping you will buy parts from them.
