When I turn on the telescope nothing happens. It's lit up red, but no message or alignment?
I was given this awesome telescope but without the manual. I looked it up on line, followed the instructions but nothing happens. However I did only put the batteries in no 12 v DC adaptor. Do I need that? The manual only says "when" using an adaptor. When I flip the switch on, I hear a beep and it lights up in red, and that's all.
