When lighting one of the burners, the ingnition knob has to be held down over ten seconds for the flame to stay lit when the knob is released
One of my gas burners will light when the starter knob is depressed and turned, but as soon as I let go of the knob, the flame goes out. I have to hold it down for a count of fifteen before I can let go of the knob and have the flame not go out. The burners have a sensor that must be heated before the gas stays on. The manual indicates that you need to hold down the gas knob for 5 to 8 seconds but in our case it is more like 30 to 50 seconds before the burner will stay lit. How close should the heat sensor be to the flame? Both burners seem to act simlarly. All is well once the burner stays lit. It is very frustrating for the cook and if the cook is not happy nobody is happy...Ed
