When the washer is started the water runs excessively and gives a OE code. In order for the washer to work properly we have to turn the water off and on from the house source
The "OE" error code means the control detected the water level in the machine is above the overflow level. Also, there is a recall on certain models from Maytag. Here is a link to see if your machine is part of the recall.
You will need to open the cabinet, from the bottom of the front of the tub, there is a pressure hose that runs from the tub up to the control panel. Blow thru this hose and pressure sensor (it's on the bottom of the tub where the hose plugs in) to clear it of any debris. If the error still continues, then you need to replace the water inlet valve. You will need to open the cabinet, from the bottom of the front of the tub, there is a pressure hose that runs from the tub up to the control panel.
