When turning on the hot water on dedicated hot water faucets, the water is almost scalding. However, when turning on the shower and tub that has only one faucet handle (mixes cold and hot) and put the handle to the hottest temperature, the water is only luke warm. How can we modify to get more hot water?

Pull apart the front of the valve and there is a limiter that is set to limit hte hot water, you need to adjust that limiter. I find many valves are shipped with teh setting too cold.
