When using my panasonic kx tga542cm on speaker phone mode,people are complaining they can't hear me unless I have the phone near my face. Can you suggest what to try to fix it? Thanks

Most likely the microphone hole at/near the bottom of the phone is clogged with dirt. If you are able to, then dissasemble the handset, find that opening and clean it out. If you're not that brave, maybe try cleaning the hole with a toothbrush. Don't stick anything into the hole as you may damage the microphone. Hop this helps!
Seemed to work on one call,but then the next person I called was complaining they couldn't hear me! I double checked the speaker hole on the phone,and it is clear. Thanks.
I have a plugin air duster,and used it on my phone. I made two calls,and neither person complained of not hearing me! It must have cleaned out dirt below the hole leading to the microphone.
