When we hit *72 the phones automatically go to an answering service (previous employee left and we don't know how it is done) and we no longer have that service so our phones don't forward anywhere. How can we get it to where everytime we want to forward, we can decide where they forward to?
Sounds more like an external call forwarding(*72), my guess is that its on a one touch speed dial button. you can either dial the call forwarding manually by pressing the line you wish to forward dialing *72 then the number you wish to transfer to or you can re-program the one touch button by pressing feature 00 pressing the button you want to program and entering the new call forwarding number (i.e. *72 hold 123-4567 *the hold key is a pause).
You have to press Feature 11 following number to follow on the phone that will be forwarding. Also make sure Feature00 (left intercome)(left intercome) #322 is set to 1 for extension that needs to do call forward.
Avaya won't let programming get disabled. So don't worry about that.
You can call your local Avaya Bussines Partner to reprogram your phones. I can try to help you. You will need to find ext.10 or 11What controls are you talking about? has there been any intrusion to the system since you removed the remote card?
Is there any update to the problem?
