Check this response from 2008 for same model fan. By resorrowsr on Oct 26, 2008 Fan stopped Turning - Removed fan to check all the connections. All the connections were good. When you turn the fan on, you can hear a humming sound. If you take off the blades you can spin the motor and it will work, but will not turn on it's own.

I called Home Depot customer service. I had my receipt, so they gave me store credit for the full purchase. Since I have two fans, they wanted to know if I wanted to replace both fans. I told them one was still working fine, so I only replaced one. My problem was the transformer. You could see where it had overheated and melted.
