Pressure cookers are not friendly when broke. I do not advise replacing anypressure regulator on the unit, THEY ARE DANGEROUS AS IT IS, why don't you just buy a pressure cooker with a slide lock lid and use that, it has a built in pressure reducer and so easy to use, you don't have to buy the most expensive thing in the cooker department to get excellent results, and since the integrity of the regulator is bad throw it away and be cheaper in the long run to just go buy a new one, happy cooking
