Aww the German washer, one of the best in my opinion. Many of my customers who own them call them "eggs" ha ha !
Anyway,
I think the outlet you`ve brought into question is where you`ll find the lint filter, down in the left corner below the main door just above the leveling legs. ( some have a small plastic "toe panel or kick plate" unless previously removed, you`ll need to remove that first )
If you pull the small hose out located there behind the toe panel ( you may need to turn the plug 1/4 turn to release it from the machine ) you`ll find it has a plug in it, remove the plug and drain any water sitting in the pump. It`s good to have a small shallow pan, some towels, sponges or a shop vac close by for this exercise. Then unscrew the insert counter clockwise and that is your filter/button trap all in the pump, but removable.
This should answer your question, if not let me know how I can assist you further.
If so please provide a positive rating or one you according to it`s helpfulness.
Thank you for visiting "fixya" for your AEG washer inquiries. A very good washer I`ll say again.
