Where the electricity cable plucks into the monitor there is a buzzing noise, and a few times the screen just went black. yesterday it did not come back on. what do I do?

Look for bad solder joints on the 3 legs of the AC inlet.

BenQ makes DELL and HP monitors.
Also inspect the caps for domed tops.

Or www.digikey.com just make sure to use caps with low ESR, 105c, high ripple current, long life rating such as PANASONIC FM or FC series.
