While removing the rear wheel, I broke a stud. How do I remove the rotor to get at the broken stud to remove and replace it? It is a 2005 Suzuki Verona. Thanks
The rotor can be removed by removing the brake caliper, and it`s bracket, then the rotor will slide off easy, then just tap the broken stud inward, and it will come out the back.To install the new stud, put it in from the back, then using a lug nut screw it on by hand, then use a socket and 1/2 ratchet,or pull bar,to tighten the lug nut down until it pulls threw .
You might have some screws in the rotor, look, inbetween the lug bolts,if there are none, then if everything is off,and out of the way hit the rotor all the way around the rotor to jar it loose, use a 2x4 piece of wood,or put the wood on the rotor and hit it hard,if it has screws they will have to be removed, maybe two or three of them.
