While the malibu is still it shakes a lot seems like it wants to turn off. I put in Neutrol and the shaking is less, what can this be?

Is the check engine light on ?
Usually when the engine is shaking you have a miss where one or more cylinders are not firing or not producing power.
Sounds like the idle is too low. Idle speed is controlled by the pcm, so check out your idle control valve or motor-it may need replacing.
