While waiting for my internet provider to come over and set up their equipment I tried to set up my SBG901 beforehand. I found that the CD which came with the equipment does not read on my computer. The printed materials only contain the jibberish needed to avoid a lawsuit and a picture of where to plug what, but does not elaborate on the process of setting it up. How do I set it up and what can I do to have control over my own wireless network? Thank you
All you need to do is plug the Coax(your cable line) into the back of the modem, you should see where it goes, very hard to miss
Plug in the power adapter (also very obvious)
Then take the Yellow or Blue cable plug it into the port on the back of the modem, then plug that wire into your network card on the back of your computer, or the WAN (Wide Area Network) port of your router.
When they activate your modems Mac Address for internet access you just need to unlplug the power cord from the back of the modem for about 30 seconds then plug it back in, allow upto 30 mins to get your first connection
