Whirlpool Duet Front-Loading Washer - the front seal gasket appears ripped and there is water on the floor in front of the machine (small amounts) Can I replace a gasket, or is it a big job? Also do they need routine maintenance on belts, etc. to work optimally?

You can not replace gasket it is a tough job even for a repairman who knows what he is doing cost is usually around 200
