Whirlpool ultimate care 2
Washer was running fine up until it just stopped working. I had been in basement and smelled something burning . The washer was not working and a burning smell was all around it. Breakers did not pop. Is the motor no good?

Sounds like the belt wore and slipped and broke!
Is there any power to the washer?
How old is the washer?Sounds old.
Only a trained laundry tech can make the electronic diagnoses.
If the appliance is 10 years old or more you it may not be advisable to put good money into bad!
New appliances are so much more efficient today that they can save you a lot of money in energy!!!!
