Whisper Drive My garage door starts to open and immediately reverses but continues to run. I had to release the cord to allow the chain to run its course before it would stop. We can not manually lift the door open even with the cord released One sensor is green and the other is orange. I have tried to realign but can not get the orange light even flicker when moving the sensor.....where do I go from here? Thank you

It sounds like the door is your problem.
Check the counter balance spring above the door. It is likely broken.
If the door cannot be operated manually, the garage door opener will not open it either. The machine is made to operate a door that works correctly. If the door is broken, the machine will not work either.
It also sounds like the opener gears may be worn out. That also occurs because the door required service.
