white wires. I turned the power back on but nothing changed. The second solenoid wire appears to run to nothing, simply attached to a wire nut. Am I reattaching this solenoid wire incorrectly? Dave
Hi, No, you need to attach one of the solenoid wires to the red wire and one to the white wire. So, undo the wire nut with the three wire and hook one of the red or white wirtes to the wire nut with only one wire. Then you sould have a black wire and one of the other red or white wires under each wire nut. Problem amy be that you now have burned out the transformer that runs your Humidifier. By hooking the red and white wires together you may have shorted that out and killed it. If you humidifier does not work after hooking it back uo right then you will need to change the transformer.
