Why am I getting sparks when I attach the cables to my power wheelchair battery?
The cables, batteries, and circuit breaker are all new. Get sparks when the cable (attached to circuit breaker) touches the post on front battery. So I am unable to complete the battery installation and get the chair running. It is no longer under warranty.

The motor must be energized or you have a really bad short circuit.
