Why do gear shift lever stick in gear on a 6 speed craftsman riding mower?
I can put the gear lever in any gear and drive the mower when i stop mower i can't shift to any other gear it stick in gear how do i fix this problem?

Linkage worn -damaged or need adjustment
i can stop the mower and turn the key to off and move the mower back and foward with my hand and then i can move the shift lever could it be something worn in the transaxle?
the linkage goes to the trans axle check it first
