Why do my OBD 11 CP9135 AutoScanner show this message? Link Error Try Again
When I try to read the codes on my 2006 Saturn Ion with the Actron CP9135 autoscanner I get a link error but I can use it on another car it will scan the codes and I can take my car to advance auto part store when they use their autoscanner it scan the codes on my 2006 Saturn ion but I don't understand why I get a link error when I use my autoscanner.

Check the diagnostic connector to verify it has power. See dioagram below.
I would think if another scanner works then either you have a scanner without the right software protocol or it is just defective. Not all OBD2 systems are alike.
