Marco: Original Poster said "NEW Battery" will not hold charge and drive scooter.
OP: there are 2 things to check on the scooter A) that the charger is actually charging the "NEW " battery pack.
B) the amount of drain (loss over 24 hours) from the bike when hooked up to battery. If the "Off" discharge is >5% then you are having an electronic fault with the motor controller, and the circuit is not being turned off, -or- you have a "NEW' but defective pack that cannot hold a charge properly. (IF the Cells won't hold a charge, pointless going after the controller or other possible problems.
Doesn´t matter the miles runned. The battery is too old. chemicals inside are not capable to hold Current(Amperes). Yo must change the Battery by a New one with the same parameters. (Volts,Amps, Size.) 2008 from now it´s too much time for a Battery, even unused.
