Why does my 1994 Isuzu pickup truck 2.3 liters 4 cylinder is not receiving fuel to carb after installing a new fuel pump??

Can you hear the pump run? Is there any chance that it wasn't plugged back, properly? Also if the filter and I was removed. Could it be backwards?
