Why does my transducer not get a return when its deeper than 150 mts?how much amps does it need to operate in deep water?
I have a 1 kilowatt thru hull transducer and i do get a good image when its less than 100 mts deep. The problem persists even if i stop the boat.

Normally a new clean faced 1 KW thru-hull transducer works to 3,000 feet ( 914 meters).
Maybe the impedance of the transducer and electronics driving it do not match.
Connecting cable too long?
Poor connections. Look at plug pins to see if any are bent.
I have a problem with your statement that the transducer is 1 kW. That is an UNBELIEVABLY high current draw.
I would suspect that the 150m is beyond the range of your unit.
Our Autohelm ST 50+ Tridata only has a range of about 125 metres.

1.Check you sounder/transducer specs, it may be its range
2. Check your sounder settings an enable max range
