Why doesn't my new TCL Roku 4K tv recognize my Marantz NR1605 AV receiver?
I have connected my cable box to the appropriate HDMI slot on my receiver and using the HDMI arc output, from the receiver to the tv's HDMI arc slot. When trying setup, the tv can't see the receiver. When I connect the cable box to the tv directly, into the HDMI 1 slot, it plays through perfectly although sound obviously only plays from the tv speakers. I called the support units of both TCL and Marantz. TCL made a valiant effort with all kinds of suggestions to the settings in their tv app. Marantz couldn't even be civil and only blamed the tv company. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks Gerry

Hello Gerry, what type of HDMI cable do you use for the interconnection, a 1.4 or a 2.0?
With the 2.0 you ensure that both devices are within the communication range and therefore should be recognized

Hola Gerry, que tipo de cable HDMI utilizas para la interconexion, un 1.4 o un 2.0?
Con el 2.0 te aseguras de que ambos aparatos esten dentro del rango de comunicacion y por lo tanto deberian reconocerse
