Why doesn't remote control communicate with Fischer heat pump mini split system
The remote control has stopped communication with the Fischer R410A heat pump wall unit. I have replaced batteries and cleaned both units, doubled checked that new batteries are fresh. The remote control does not show any symbols in the operation display window. The wall unit will turn on and operate with the emergency switch. What else can I do to get the two to communicate?

It sounds like the batteries leaked and oxidized the terminals. If you cannot get them clean enough then I would suggest getting a new reomote from the manafacturer.
