Why is it that the buzzing heavily increases when I play and record guitar while the recommended AC adaptor (the PSA-120S) is plugged in at the same time? Do I need to get a rechargeable battery?
Well, what I find is that the recommended power adapter is the PSA120
NOTE: no "S" suffix.!!!
I suspect the "S" version you have has less filtering or possibly a switching power regulator... that MAY be why you are having trouble. They can make them cheaper this way.
The S version you have is INTENDED for the pedals and the recommended use list I found did NOT include use for the Micro BR..
I would FIRST try to get the PSA120 plain unit and see if that solves the problem.
In the meantime, make sure if you are also plugged in the USB to a computer, that the adapter you have is plugged into the same receptacle as your computer.
ALSO do not have the wire to the adapter anywhere near the guitar cable.
Anoother HINT. Check your local thrift shop for adapters. You want a 9 volt DC one capable of 500 ma with a NEGATIVE center pin socket. BE VERY careful of the polarity being correct.Well, what I find is that the recommended power adapter is the PSA120

Rechargeable batties do NOT work well in things requiring a full 9 volts.
OFTEN the fault is with the guitar pickup being sensitive to magnetic fields around it.
Wall tranformers/adaptors are some of the WORST of the magnetic field emitters.
