Ok. If the tension on the top is too loose you must tighten the tension control device and make sure the thread is going through it properly. The thread must go inside the two little plates that press together on the thread. Usually the upper tension control is numbered on newer machines. If older you might have to turn a dial to your increase tension on the discs. Remember, the tension discs only operate when the presser foot is clamped down on the cloth. They only release automatically as soon as the presser foot is raised.
