Why is the needle on my Bernina 830 not straight?
The needle comes down at one edge of the whole in the foot rather than centrally. Is this correct? This sometimes causes the needle to break when I am winding the bobbin.

The needle should not be bent. It is not loaded correctly. Make sure the flat side is to the back.
