Why wont my Escort 9500ix Passport power on after car has been dead and battery was replaced about a month later?
There is a dim orange light where the usual blue LED is near the mute button and when I unplgu and plug it back in you can fainlty hear the speaker try and make a sound but ultimately give up and stay off with the same dim orange light, was just wondering if this was a known problem and if I could fix it my self.

try this 9500 on another car first> see if it works there? easy no?

Restoring the Factory Default Settings
To restore your PASSPORT to its
original factory settings, press
and hold the "SEN" and "BRT"
buttons while turning the power
on. A Reset message will be
displayed, accompanied by an
audible alert, acknowledging
the reset.
1: reset it
2; test at on 2nd car
3: test it on any 12vdc battery .
4: test it on any 12vdc 2amp power pack (like web cams use)
