Why won't my Miele 8310 vacuum switch on?
A hard floor indicator switch comes on for a epsecond when you press power button then it goes off again and nothing works. I have already changed the bag. The vacuum is only 2 years old

The problem could be a restriction in the brush roll somewhere. Remove the brush roll and clean it and the nozzle housing. It could be an electronic problem which is much harder to diagnose.
