Will not connect to wifi using phones wifi option to activate, turns itself off before connecting. does not even get to the stage of being able to choose a connection,thanks

Its broken, take it back and complain, tell them what is wrong and ask for a replacement. If they do not replace it, tell everyone you know about them and the problem and tell them that they should never ever buy anything from this manufacturer, because their quality control is inadequate.
