Will not boot
I foolishly left my PC in my apartment when I evacuated from the hurricane. We did not flood, but a window in the room next to mine busted and it was very humid following the storm with no A/C. Now my PC will boot only sometimes. When it doesn't, the motherboard gets stuck on code "C1" (base memory detect) and have a two-second beep with a three-second pause between beeps. Does anyone know what this means?
I want to try to avoid wiping down the board unless I absolutely have to. Thanks for any help!

Actually 2 beep codes indicates a problem with RAM chips.....
open the tower and Remove RAM from motherboard and clean the them with a smooth cloth and insert it back again...
your problem will be resolved. if not try with other RAM chips...
Try unseating the memory then plugging it back in.

If it was that humid i'd even suggest leaving it in a dry place for a few days... but reseat the memory either way.
