Wireless Logitech mouse has suddenly lost it's connection
WIRELESS LOGITEK mouse LZ8 has suddenly lost connection to the Microsoft receiver SK 7260 and I can't get it back - the mouse arrow just sits on the screen and won't move.

When I press the " connect" button on top of the receiver there are no lights flashing the light on the left as I look at the front panel stays green ,if I press a keyboard key the green light on the right flashes and the keyboard is still working fine.
It's a PS/2 connection PC running on Windows XP and everything is checked ok in System devices, no warnings at all. Devices also recognises mouse as Microsoft ps/2 compatible and it says the mouse is working.
This is not a new install just a sudden failure of the existing one.
Tried the mouse on my brother's PC and it works fine there.

What's the problem solution?
There are two buttons on the bottom of the mouse one says reset the other has what looks like anon/off icon and a little green light is shown above it. I've tried pressing both along with pressing the Channel button on the receiver but get no reaction at all from the receiver - as I said above the wireless keyboard is working and the receiver flashes as keys are hit.
Shouldn't be software problem as I ran a system restore back 24 hours to before it stopped working . I'm totally lost now - any help gratefully received - couldn't see anything on the Logitech site which helped.
