Wireless security settings on laptop do not match network settings
My new laptop is picking up the signal from the router well. However, when I initally tried to log-on using the required password (not sure if there ever was one?) or network key (I used the network key), I could not get connected. Subsequently, the information from my router (network key, etc) was saved on a flash drive and then downloaded on the laptop. This did not work either and my new error is "wireless security settings on this computer do not match settings on network". Can you help?

As the settings don't match, I would recommend you reset your router, theres a reset button there, hold it for 30 seconds, your router is returned to default settings and you will instantly get online after the router is working.
After this you will need to setup some security settings incase you don't want people to freely connect and use your network.

You will need to change the existing connection to match the "new" settings. I have had this issue with visita as well. If you open the wireless connections, go to advanced settings click on the "saved" SSIDs you can either delete the exisiting one, and start over (easy) or you can modify the settings to match the "new" upgraded system. Visita and XP store these for future use, problem is if one changes it "Doesn't match" so just delete the existing one and recreate it.
If they changed the password for the system or the type of encryption WEP to WPA etc this will correct the issue.
You may want to turn off the IPv6 which can also cause issues with Wifi in some locations.
